Quick summary of Absolute Poker
Although Absolute Poker offers one of the best rooms as far as loyalty rewards and bonuses, the software and graphics aren’t completely up to the standards you would expect from a poker network. Software and Graphics
Many people feel that the software behind Absolute Poker lacks the “poker feeling”. The graphics are sometimes amateurish, and the textures aren’t the best to look at. However, the software is still good at what it is supposed to do – which is to make it easy to navigate and logical to understand.
There are some good features with the software including hand history game stats, find a player and note taking abilities. It also offers a “private tournament” option, allowing players to set up their own tournaments with their friends. These functions are great when you are wanting to multi-table.
There are areas that could be improved however. Sometimes the game can be a bit slow, and you can’t turn the animations off. If you do turn the sometimes annoying sound effects off, you will also be turning the alert sounds off. We are really hoping that Absolute Poker will fix this oversight very soon, because other than that, it does have one of the best platforms for playing poker in the industry.
Poker Traffic
The cash game traffic is continually growing, to where there are usually around 2000 cash players online during the peak time periods. If low or mid stakes Hold’em is your game, you can be sure to always find a game with soft competition. The higher stakes games might be a bit further between, but it isn’t impossible to find some high stake action now and then.
There aren’t often many games taking place in the Seven Card Stud section, but the Omaha section has been seeing a definite increase in traffic lately. At peak hours, the tournament traffic is very nice, with almost 10,000 players active.
Game Variety
Absolute Poker tends to be more focused on Texas Hold’em, as well as the different kinds of tournaments.
